Safe and natural therapy to balance mind body and spirit
I am currently taking new reflexology clients. My practice is based at my home in central Penzance. If needed I will travel in Penzance and surrounds within West Cornwall. Gift vouchers are available.
I am a professionally qualified reflexologist (qualified 2002) and member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR). http://www.aor.org.uk/
Reflexology is a safe, natural and relaxing therapy, at any age, with intention to balance mind, body and spirit. This is an ancient art and has it’s origins in Egypt, ancient India and China. There is evidence of early cave drawings illustrating reflexology some 5000 years ago.
In reflexology the body is mapped out on the soles of the feet as reflex points that correspond to each part of the body. The action of reflexology is a finger and thumb pressure and massage technique applied to stimulate each of the reflex points. This action stimulates each corresponding part of the body through the meridian lines of energy to restore balance to the whole person, to calm the nervous system, balance the hormonal system, clear energy blocks, stimulate the circulation, stimulate the elimination of toxins, bring about deep relaxation and restore a state of balance and well-being, supporting our body’s healing ability.
Deep relaxation can support our health broadly and profoundly; a restorative to the nervous system, the digestive system, the cardiovascular system and immune response, all central to health, and supportive where simply wishing to achieve deep relaxation and maintain health and peace of mind.
This therapy asks nothing of you except to recline in comfort, and invites you to enter a state of deep relaxation. Your feet will be washed in warm water with flannels followed by an opening foot massage using natural oils, a reflexology treatment and a closing foot massage.
Reflexology intends to bring about a state of holistic balance and seems to bring the recipient exactly what is needed. This illustrates the holistic nature of reflexology and the interwoven nature of ourselves.
Reflexology has an accumulative effect over regular treatments, but is also available on an ad hoc basis for relaxation.
